Train Simulator: South Wales Coastal Route Add-On 32 Bit Crack

About This Content Directly connecting England and Wales, running underneath the longest river in the United Kingdom, the South Wales Main Line is one of the most important cross border routes in the country, as featured in the beautiful new South Wales Coastal route for Train Simulator. The South Wales Main Line branches off from the Great Western Main Line to allow a direct connection between London and the South of Wales. The line was opened in two stages - the first exclusively in Wales, running from Swansea to Chepstow in 1850; the second section was in England, branching off from Royal Wootton Bassett towards Patchway in 1903.Crossing the River Severn was always an engineering challenge, with trains initially heading north from Swindon to traverse into Wales, joining the South Wales Main Line at Chepstow. Construction of the four-mile Severn Tunnel began in 1873, and by 1886 it became the fastest route between the two countries, making the ‘Great Way Round’ only a backup way of crossing the Severn, for example when the tunnel was closed. With the Welsh coal mines running at their peak, the line became an important trunk for freight traffic, which is still the case today. Connection to various docks on both sides of the Severn meant there were always heavy coal trains running to Portishead Docks from around the south of Wales. The SWML is also credited with a major role in the expansion of Fishguard Docks, the Great Western Railway’s main connection to the USA.Today, the line is operated by Arriva Trains Wales and also sees First Great Western services originating from London Paddington into Cardiff, and beyond. Freight remains a key part of the route, be it imported coal or steel works movements. The line is also one of the last major inter-city routes in Great Britain to remain un-electrified, although there are plans to electrify the line by 2018 to allow the new Hitachi Super Express Electro-Diesel and Electric Multiple Units (Class 800 and 801) to replace ageing HST units on London to Cardiff services. The South Wales Coastal – Bristol to Cardiff route for Train Simulator recreates the 39 mile section of main line from Bristol Temple Meads and Bristol Parkway to Cardiff Central, via the Severn Tunnel. Also included are a number of locomotives and freight wagons to replicate services on the line as seen today, including the Arriva Trains Wales Class 175 ‘Coradia’ DMU, Freightliner Class 70 and Great Western Railways Class 43 HST.ScenariosEight scenarios for the route:Cardiff to HolyheadHolyhead to CardiffCardiff to Cheltenham SpaCheltenham Spa to MaestegWentloog to SouthamptonTaunton to CardiffPortbury to Rugeley PSLondon to SwanseaMore scenarios are available on Steam Workshop online and in-game. However, it never appears in the career scenarios ingame. Too bad Dovetale Games.. This is a very good scenery add-on route and fills a needed gap in the GWR timetable. Hopefully at some point we will get the full Swansea to London Paddington route - a journey I make regularily . Attention to detail is excellent in this add-on , and Newport station is well depicted since its recent revamped terminal building. I love the trampoline's in the back gardens of the terrace houses outside of Newport station - it makes me chuckle when I pass them - a nice touch.Recommended !.. Very nice route and great loco selection, detailing is excellent too. Routes are a little short and I would not really class it as southwales, since when has Bristol been in Wales? 95% focuses on Bristol. it should have actually focused on South Wales.NOW FOR THE BIG BUTS.....It is full of serious bugs, here is what i have come accross so far :-Routes not completable as you get stuck at reds lights forever especially around Newport.Speed limits are missing from the hub or set incorrectly (says 20 on hub when it really is 15 or hub says 40 and it really is 20) thus you end up speeding. You cannot move off from a station platform (happens when driving class158 or 175) as there is already another train on same track sat on the same platform ahead and never moves.Game freezes on routes regardless of settings or locos used. When you do manage to get to the end of a route and stop, you wait for the congrats but all you get is an ERROR, your consist has derailed..... even though you are sat at a platform :\/I do recommend it because its brilliant but at the same time do not recomemed, I advise people refrain from purchasing until the bad bugs are fixed, because of this I have to select NO until they fix the bugs.I will re-review when they are all fixed.. This is a vary good DLC. There are quite a few scenarios from Bristol Templemeads, through the Severn tunnel and onto Cardiff via Newport. Thee scenery is vary nice and the gameplay is vary smooth; I was getting from 25-60 fpm.I enjoyed drving the green GWR Intercity 125.I was 5 minutes late getting into Newport and was "fined" -1700 points in Career! Wow! A great DLC that I recommend.. First you definitely should buy the twin pack, they are giving you a discount for more contents.Ok, this route, it is not actually the one for challenging or precision driving, it's all about scenery. My suggestion is don't stick inside the cab, cause all the trains don't have too much in-cab stuff for you to mess up with. Instead the outside looking, the liveries, those are the things DTG really spend efforts with. The reflection on the HST is just superb for instance. The route itself is in very high details, along with the tunnels, stations and tracks. But again, this route isn't electrified with overhead lines or third rail as it is in real life, so not too much stuff you can add later on. The route also includes other small stations in Cardiff which you can enjoy during a scenario with the 143, pretty neat little things they added.Overall, use a controller instead of keyboard on this, it's much better in terms of capturing nice screenshots and explore the map. They are some known issues with this unfortunately, like the headlights automatically switches off once you are in passenger view in the 175, I think they maybe fix those things in the future, hopefully. At last, I will recommend this route if you enjoy those lovely sceneries, this is absolutely the one. But if you are looking for realistic driving, perhaps you will want to wait for a discount or some more related add-ons for the route.. Good scenery, high frame rate, realistic scenarios, branded trains.. DO NOT Buy for more than 50p - \u00a31.50 you get 30 miles of Welsh mainline track. you cannot play it in free roam. all you get is Cardiff Central Station - Newport - the River Severn. there is next to nothing Coastal about this Addon. and extremely little in the way of South Wales come to that!!please head my advice, there is no train track to Barry, Pencoed, Bridgend, Port Talbot. Swansea, Mumbles, Maesteg. or any other valley inbetween.what you do get is dismal, ripped off at more than \u00a31.50, Career only Play. and very few missions at that.My Advice is to avoid this like the Plague unless newer reviews state that the developer has actually created more content than this.
